Runtrikha

Runtrikha is an alternative alphabet for English created by David Govan,
who was inspired to create the shapes of its characters after careful
examination of his fallen hair in his house. This is why most of the
characters look rounded and at first rather alike. This is the case,
at first glance, for standard Georgian as well, though not quite the
same as this script. The name for this script is derived from two words
which, when separated, mean “round hair” but which for the sake of
naming have been shortened and run together.

Notable features

  • Letters have a single size – there is no distinction between upper
    and lower case
  • Direction of writing: left to right in horizontal lines.
  • A single period indicates the end of a sentence, while a
double period the end of a paragraph
  • Questions are preceded and followed by a hyphen
  • This alphabet is based on the principle of “one letter,
one sound” and there are no silent letters.
