Handwritten Braille was invented by Frederico Martins as a version
Braille that is relatively easy for sighted people to learn and read,
and which can also be used as a form of shorthand. Frederico’s girlfriend,
who works blind people, has learnt the script and now finds it easier
to read Braille.

Notable features

  • Type of writing system: alphabet.
  • Direction of writing: left to right in horizontal lines.
  • Used to write: English, Portuguese and just about any
    language that can be written with Braille.
