Eigana

Eigana (えいがな)

Eigana is an alternative method of writing English using Japanese
hiragana devised by David, who is currently studying Japanese.

Notes

Whenever a vowel is found, it represents any sound it makes by
its self in English.

  • Sounds that the letter ‘a’ represents: [a] and [æ],
    doubling the letter makes: [a:]
  • Sounds that the letter ‘e’ represents: [ɛ]
    and [e], doubling the letter makes: [e:]
  • Sounds that the letter ‘i’ represents: [ɪ] and [i],
    doubling the letter makes: [i:]
  • Sounds that the letter ‘o’ represents: [ɒ] and [o],
    doubling the letter makes: [o:]
  • Sounds that the letter ‘u’ represents: [ʌ] and [u],
    doubling the letter makes: [u:]
  • m+a is written ま not まあ

Transliteration

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They
