Rtug alphabet Rtug

The Rtug alphabet was invented by “Neonlights” in 2010. He drew
inspiration from the cursive Arabic abjad. The alphabet is used to
write the Rnin language.

Notable features

  • Type of script: alphabet
  • Direction of writing: left to right, in horizontal lines
  • Contains 18 consonants (four of which are syllabic) and 10 vowels
  • Contains a bunch of decorative punctuation marks used by the poets in ancient times

  • Rtug is written in a cursive style, and there is no typographic standard.
  • There were many versions of the letters w and e, but only one of each was accepted.

Omīpkatī burbāī dgurī bltīab tfējdr
glējīdrab. Kī damīd zāzam sīnsamab hāvab
klefī gikanjtih gizih vrūtin.

Translation

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They
are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another
in a spirit of brotherhood.
