Lines and Circles alphabet

The Lines and Circles alphabet is the creation of Massimiliano Monagheddu
from Sardinia. He was influenced expecially by ‘Phags-pa script for the
consonants and by Arabic and Hebrew alphabets for vowel system. This alphabet
can be used to write many languages but is best suited to writing Italian and English.

Notable features

  • Type of writing system: alphabet
  • Direction of writing: left to right in horizontal lines
  • Vowels are smaller than consonants and are written below them.
  • Standard punctuation is used (, . ! ? etc)
