Mártölammë is a fictional language and alphabet invented by Æ
Martinez for use in a book he is writing. The book regarding the language and its writing
system is the result of thirty years of work and is being published online as PDFs at
www.ardrakho.net. After the book is complete it
will published in hard copy.

Notable Features

  • The script is logosyllabic combining digraphical syllabograms that represent
    syllables and logograms representing whole abstractions.
  • The script is usually written in multiple paired vertical columns reading
    from right to left and top to bottom in a zigzag pattern. In addition, these columns
    are formed into blocks that are read from right to left and top to bottom in a zigzag
    pattern.
  • It is also written horizontally from right to left.
