Evíon

Evíon was invented by Daniel M. Pulley in 2005. He was inspired
by the Arabic script, the Tengwar of Fëanor, and a little bit by
Divine epiphany. It can be used to write Evíon, a language
Daniel is invented, and with some modification, English, Altaen,
French, Spanish, German and other languages.

Notable features

  • Type of writing system: alphabet
  • Direction of writing: written horizontally from left to right,
right to left, or alternating in either direction if one so wishes.
  • There are no letters for g, p, q, z, w, or f.
    g and p are replaced by j, q by cv, z by x, w by v and f by ph.
  • The ordering of letters is vowel and then consonant, if a vowel
is on top of a consonant, then the vowel is read first. Vowels can
stand alone after consonants, but in the middle of a word, the vowel
carrier is used, or in cases of complex vowels, then the top vowel is
    read before the lower vowel.
  • x, d, l have two forms, initial and intermediate, the initial
form is used at the beginnings of words, the intermediate form elsewhere.
