Common Syllabics was created by Jonathon Grimes during the early 1990s
to write the main language used in a role playing game: Common. Jonathon
modelled Common Syllabics on the Cree syllabary
and on the Devanagari alphabet.

Notable features

  • Written from left to right in horizontal lines
  • Diacritics are added to the basic consonant symbols
    to indicate different vowel sounds.
