Budukh

Budukh (Будад мез)

Budukh is spoken by about 200 people in the Quba district in the
northeast of Azerbaijan, and also in a few towns in the Russian
Federation. Budukh is a member of the Lezgian subgroup of the Northeast
Caucasian language family, is also known as Budugh, Budug, Budugi,
Budux or Bukukhi, and is closely related to Kryz.

Budukh is endangered and there is an on-going a language
shift towards Azerbaijani, which the majority of Budukh speakers also
speak.
